The blight of the undead is a powerful and enticing tool of Iblees. It is corrupted and potent to many, including the strong minded. It is the dark master’s way of contorting Aegis to his will so that his followers may better control it to his liking. Brilliant men and women have fallen to this blight and turned to the Undead, and even more weak-minded men have chosen to serve them. :: :: The Sheffield’s are not sparred from this taint. They are not, nor ever will be the paragons of light against the dark. This history of Undead in Oren goes hand in hand with high politics of Oren. When the Undead first appeared in the North they killed the Sympathetic King Pampo Perea, and Edmund seized the throne for himself. From there the Undead assaulted The North and sacked many northern settlements. The relative lack of action and sympathy Edmund had for the north is suspicious to say the least. Well it was until he summoned the people of Oren to court to watch him devour Queen Ivrae and join the Undead. The protector of Oren for numerous decades was simply a undead follower the entire time. :: :: A similarity occured shortly thereafter when the world of Aegis fell into a silent siege upon Enor’s ascent to the throne. There was relative peace against the Undead, but it was short lived. Enor was taken from Al’Khazar with little to no fight on his part write when the city fell. He was now missing for a day or two. Not even a week. No! Enor was missing for over a year! Then suddenly he escaped with the also captured High Constable Felix. This is a farce! Few can handle a mere day in the hands of the Undead; he “survived” a full year of it. We are to believe our weak submissive King was not corrupted, that his sanity had not been shattered, and his view points changed. We are not a stupid people! See with your eyes and your mind! The Sheffields have done little to stop the Undead and the spread of Iblees because they worship them! Like father like son! our king has BETRAYED US!
