Once, Not so entirely long ago, There was a beautiful elven maiden, by the name of Amavel . Amavel was born into a wealthy family residing in Laurelin, right in the hustle and bustle of the elven community. Amavel had only two very close friends growing up, Firaval and Imenia. Since both children were commoners, her father disapproved of them, but Amavels mother showed hospitality to all peoples. As the years grew by, the friendship between Amavel and Firaval became so much more– blossoming into a beautiful romance, of which only the couple and Imenia knew of. Firaval often spoke to Amavel of how he would make a man of himself, and build a beautiful home in the treetops for the both of them. Amavel dreamed of the day that this came to be, and her love for Firaval grew with each passing day. :: But lo, one day a black storm came over the city of Laurelin, and the smoke of the Orcish warcamps blotted out the sun… War was upon them. Firaval Went out to fight the dreaded Orcish foes, but in the heat of battle, became injured by his wounds. Unable to retreat, The Orcs took him as their captive, and sent him back to their black capital as a slave. Amavel, nearly overcome with grief, locked herself away while the war waged. :: Imenia, after forcing her way into Amavel’s room, told Amavel that she cannot let herself fall to such grief. Amavel, after many tears and much thought, agreed, and ordered Imenia to return to her room at the dead of night, alone, and unseen. Imenia, although a little afraid of what Amavel had planned, agreed to do so. :: Later that night, Imenia entered Amavel’s room to find the Elven maiden in full battle armor, which her father had given to her after secret practice until a time she needed it. “I’m not entirely sure I can fight well,” Amavel spoke shakily to Imenia, “But I must rescue Firaval, even if it means I must risk my very life… Will you help me, Imenia?” Imenia, after a hesitant pause, agreed to join with Amavel.
