1373 – Enadael Falaos’ Journal (by SuperZac)

Day One: I bored of my lonely fort in the Wilds, so I began the trip to Haven along the road. As usual, I gazed in wonder at it but could not enter, for I was not eager to try my Day Two: All of today I spent traveling briefly back to my old castle to deliver and pick up some needed goods. I returned without incident, and only passed a fellow Guardian on the road. I began construction on the Elven homes today, fashioning them after those of fair Laurelin. Day Four: Today we were visited by two of the Ascended pupils. I was much disconcerted, however, because they were far from friendly to their Guardians. In fact, not only were they condescending but almost hostile. Day Five: Another Ascended visit today, this time by Acolyte Dolir. He was kinder than the others. He referred to them as ‘lads’, so they are probably young and vain. I even had the honor of providing Dolir with my fine paper for book-copying. Still building homes. Day Six: Did much woodcutting and building today. Nothing interesting. I did install a new doorbell on the front wall, now that it must remain shut all the time. At dawn I will leave to do some trading in Laurelin, and I am going to keep up an account of my travels as well. Day Seven: I picked up some goods at my castle and then went on to Laurelin without trouble. Unfortunately none of the new Market stalls are ready to buy goods, so I suppose I will have to go on to Al’Khazar. Sleeping in a tree hollow tonight. Day Eight: I happened a upon a home for sale for only 4000 minas. I had been searching for a home in fair Laurelin for many a day, so I knew I couldn’t pass this up. Unfortunately the owner left no contact, so I will have to wait until he comes back. I also tried to buy a permit for the Elven Mine, but alas they were not for sale at the time. Day Nine: I found out that Imust purchase the home through the High Prince Native, however it does not seem he is even in town. I am actually going to stay in the house tonight, because I did reserve it. Also, I am looking diamonds to repair my trusty sword. Day Ten: I woke today to find that the home was already sold! You can hardly know how angry I was then. With that, I went directly back to the UAC fort by Haven. I completed the elvish houses and christened them Little Laurelin. I am now improving my smithy skills so I will be able to repair my trusty blade. Day Eleven: Today I was appointed to be the UAC Smithy. I set up shop in a corner of the workshop and began repairing and making tools. That is all.
