3874 – News from the Dwarven Capital (9/22) (by KindaSpacey)

The Kal’Urguan that Belin worked so hard to create is now virtually gone. King Algrim has completely redone the city from top to bottom. These changes are evident from the moment you enter the city. First of all, the area that was once the Outer City has now been converted to farmland. This are is now frequented by farmers, lumberjacks, and fisherman alike, all hoping to sell their wares. Beyond this part of the city, you will come across a newly built housing district. Houses here go for around 7000-75k minas, providing homes for moderately wealthy dwarves. Past this, in Kal’Urguan Inner City, two new districts have sprung up. A scholarly district and another holding with a tavern and several houses for sale. This will encourage more dwarves to live underground, as they once did under the rule of King Simppa. Moving on, I recently received news of Belin’s passing. He will be greatly missed by his dwarven brethren. He will be remembered as a great ruler, somebody who embodied dwarven kindness and generousity.
