You must read this book before becoming a guard!!! :: Part 1: Do not let ANY citizens into the guard area. Only let in members of thee High Council, free dwarves army, and thee guards of course . A sign is posted outside where they can’t go. If someone goes past that point and says they are a guard, always check the guard index and make sure they are there. If they are not on the list, tell them. If they do not agree, you may have to use force on them. ::Part 2: How to guard. When a citizen approaches, always ask them what they are doing here. A response such as “just let me in” or “open the gates” are not acceptable, so don’t let them in. A good answer would be “i have a home here” or “I have a job here”, Just use common sence when letting people in to the city. Always keep tha’ gate open when you are going off duty. You may let citizens out when they want to leave, but if there is someone who wants in, make sure you ask what they are doing here, then the person may leave. ::Part 3: Pay All guards will be payed IRL hour. The Head Guard Stronghold will tell you how many hours did you go on guard duty. Rookies get paid 30minas per IRL hour. Regular Guards get paid 50minas per IRL hour. Officers get paid 70minas per IRL hour.
