Hello! If you have picked up this book, you are probably wondering what Shamanism and Druidism have to do w ith each other. The answer is; Quite alot. Shamanism uses spirits and elementals to stem their power. Like druids, their goal is to keep and protect nature. Druids however, use the force of nature itself as the source of their power. Druids do not communicate with elemental or nature spirits, untill they have picked a title. Then, they can freely communicate with that animal or elemental, though they might not be aware. There are four basic elementals for shamans to communicate with; Fire, Earth, Water and Air. Each of these elements has many lesser spirits that represent them, and one extremely powerful entity to direct the element as a whole. Shamans directly communicate with these spirits, and by calling them by their true names, harness their power temporarily. Druids, however, use Nature as a medium to communicate with these elements. This is why the effect of the two magics are, overall, much different. In order to master both Shamanism, and Druidism together, one must communicate with the spirits of Nature and the elemental spirits in a way that is simply natural, and can be done without thinking, as breathing. When advancing to an official druid, one picks, or is assigned an animal or element. Some Druids pick elements that are not of the basic four, such as lunar, solar, or Storm, While Storm is not considered a basic element, it is still one of the most powerful, and should not be underestimated. Nature itself is a spirit, though it is broken up into many other spirits, representing it. Most animals are spirits of nature that have chosen a particular embodiment. Strangely enough, animals are represented as are the elements. A collection of weaker spirits, and a much more poewrful enitity that controls them all. As Druids pick an animal, their subliminal connection to that animal’s spirit increases, and so does their connection to any elemtal in particular that animal might also be representing. Shamans, at the end of their training, can select two elements to further study in, such as earth and storm. A true master of Shamanism is said to be able to master all elements, but this is impossible, as such a task would take tens of thousands of years. To master Druidism, one would have to master Nature itself, and for the same reason one cannot master shamanism perfectly, one cannot master Nature. Incredibly powerful druids, and incredibly powerful shamans can summon lightning from the sky. Though, this feat is rare. The next volume will be written soon. Deltaro? Ello Respiren! I have finished my first volume on druidism and shamanism.
