Where should I start? I suppose my name. I am Finlay, a man whose adventures in Aegis have been boundless. I started a simple man, venturing to the mighty city of Al’Khazar where I first met my old friend, Dunhagen. Now Dunhagen was just a typical dwarf, loved his ale and was always a happy person. I remember the first thing he said, “Let me buy ye a round, eh?” Whilst sitting down for our drink, that I met a future war buddy of mine, Rusty , who of course was the bar keep. Now we all got to talking, and it came up that I had no home, so Rusty offered me a nice apartment for a hundred minas a month. Of course I was dirt poor back then so how was I to pay that much? So I told him, “hold me a place,” and ventured out into the wilderness with only a wooden sword. I stayed out in the wilderness for many a night, honing my skills with the blade. By the end of my excursion, I could kill a pigmen without batting an eye. Of course that is not to say I was the best swordsman around . In fact I met many people who would take on whole hoards of pigmen and zombies at a time . But that did not concern me, I had my money, and so I had my home. It was with a sense of pride that I walked into the city of Al’Khazar, with 3,000 minas I had found on the corpses of the monsters I encountered . I went to Rusty’s (which had been recently renovated), ordered a drink, and told him , “Hope that room is still reserved.” Within ten minutes, all the paperwork was finished and I felt as if I were living the good life . That was all to change though. But I shall continue that in my next chapter.
