1196 – The Dungeon of Daemon and Aemon (by Lomaticc)

Just before the turn of the tide, the Ancient servents of God, The Daemons, were cast into the world of Aegis to fill the core with precious metals. ::Two brother Daemon’s felt the need to inject the world of Aegis was both unwise and unworthy of such a young and hostile world. The two brother’s , Daemon, heir to the throne of all Daemon’s consulted with his younger brother Aemon on the matter. They were advised of God’s planned creations of humans, orcs, dwarves, and elves. ::Again, the brothers felt it was unwise to give such precious metals away so freely, the humans and their ease of being corrupted, the dwarves and their greed for more riches, the orcs and their hostile ways unappreciative of such precious materials, and the elves who the brothers fought over frequently on whether they deserved the right to such treasures. ::The brothers took it upon themselves to alter God’s plans and devise a scheme so that only the worthy of all the living would pocess the treasures of the Ancient world. Daemon set forth and from the ground ressurected the Great Tower of Daemon and Aemon , high and mighty, ever watchful for those worthy travellers to step foot inside. ::Aemon took part in constructing a manner of how the precious metals shall be taken if a wor thy traveller shold take the risk. Aemon, a skilled strategist incorporated a long, twisting, mind boggling maze. Rooms filled with chests, and within those rooms even more rooms, until the entire underground was consumed with what is now known as The Dungeon of Daemon and Aemon . ::Daemon thought this was too insufficient and the brothers agreed that a worthy traveller had to know not only skill of mind, but also skill of hand to find the precious metals within. Daemon infested the dungeon with monsters from all around the world of Aegis. The deadliest of spiders with venom so powerful only the strongest at heart would survive it’s bite. Pigmen who’s screetch so loud that only those with the ears of patience would resist becoming eternally deaf. Zombies that … well were just there to kill of anyone unskilled at fighting! ::Legend tells us that buried deep in the heart of the Dungeon is the only known exit. Few have survived it’s darkness and many go mad before they are eventually slain by the monsters inside. Only the most worthy find themselves overwhelmed with the treasures hidden by the ancient Daemon and Aemon, just as they planned. ::Copyright @ William
